Welcome to St Wilfrid’s Church of England Primary School
St Wilfrid’s is a popular school with a strong Christian ethos which has a long and successful history of serving its community.
At St Wilfrid’s our vision is for our children to thrive and ‘Shine as lights in the world’. Supported by the fantastic St Wilfrid’s team of staff and governors, our children develop a set of core skills that help them to grow in their academic, physical, emotional and spiritual development.
Our school Values (Care, Hope, Aspire, Respect, Inquire, Share) underpin our broad and balanced curriculum, exposing children to challenging questions and allowing them to apply and develop their cognitive skills. This creates a successful learning environment where the dignity of each child is paramount. Our last nationally reported results (2023) can be found here.
We are blessed with extensive and beautiful grounds meaning that our curriculum is enriched through outdoor learning. Our school building has two large classrooms per year group, including a purpose-built Early Years facility, as well as a newly refurbished computer suite and a well-stocked library. We have a large hall with a stage, and our second hall with its attached studio means that we are also able to offer high quality wrap-around childcare from 7am to 6.30pm.
Community lies at the heart of St Wilfrid’s: staff, parents, children, governors, volunteers and our local churches work together as a team to ensure that our children thrive and develop to be their best.
We warmly welcome visitors into school and if you would like a tour, please contact the school office. If you are looking for a place for your child please visit our 'Admissions' pages.
